Built for the
Moment your
buyer freezes

A look at how we bridge what your brand says and what your buyer is willing to risk.
illi is a B2B brand engagement agency that helps industrial, manufacturing, construction, and B2B technology companies connect with the real people inside their buying committees.

Why Technically Sound B2B campaigns still fail

The deck is sharp. Sales is trained. The content calendar is full. The right deals still sit in the pipeline. We hear the same pattern from B2B marketing leaders:
Our content gets engagement but not pipeline”
Sales says marketing isn't generating qualified leads”
We're losing deals we should have won and nobody can quite say why”
The work isn't broken. The bridge between the work and the buyer still needs built.

turn buyer research into a STORY your sales team can carry

Buyer decisions in technical B2B aren't irrational. They're defensive.
A plant manager evaluating new automation is calculating career risk, not just specs. A CFO approving a six-figure platform purchase is protecting against risk of failure.
The work has to honor buyers psychology before it earns the right to pitch anything.
illi's proprietary approach for moving complex B2B brands from buyer-insight to market ready. Three connected phases:

STRATEGY
surfaces what's true about the buyer

Messaging that holds up under scrutiny from technical buyers who've been sold to a hundred times.

STORY
turns it into positioning and creative
direction

Sales enablement that gives your team something to say in the buying committee meeting they aren't in the room for.

SCALE
activates it across the channels that move technical buyers

Content systems that carry the same story across the website, the deck, the LinkedIn post, and the trade article.

MMM Surfaces:

In the Strategy phase, buyer research becomes the driver behind what gets produced, why, and who sees it. The fears. The archetypes. The moments where deals stall.
StoryCraft ensures the buyer recognizes themselves in the STORY EVERY TIME THEY MEET IT.

When to Bring in a B2B Brand Engagement Agency vs. a Creative Shop

We work with B2B companies in complex industries like industrial, manufacturing, construction, and B2B technology, where buyers carry real risk into every decision.

Whether you're a 40-year manufacturer or a Series C industrial tech company, the work starts in the same place: understanding what your buyer is genuinely afraid of, and building from there.

illi runs the whole engagement, not one piece of it. A creative shop executes on the brand you bring them. We start a layer beneath that — buyer research. Positioning, story, and the work that ships, connected end to end. Crafting your full Story.

Questions B2B Marketing Leaders Ask When They're Evaluating ILLI

01

How is illi different from a
typical creative agency?

Creative shops start with executions, a campaign, a website, a deck. We start with buyer research and build executions backward from what the buyer needs to hear to move. Same outputs eventually, different starting point, very different result.

02

What size company do you work with?

B2B between $20M and $2B in revenue. Technically complex capabilities or offerings, with buying committees of three or more stakeholders. Do your buyers argue with each other before they buy? Call us.

03

How long does a typical engagement take?

Strategy phases run 6 to 10 weeks. Full Strategy, Story, and Scale engagements run 4 to 9 months depending on scope. We don't run perpetual retainers that float without a clear deliverable arc.

04

Do we need to do all three phases, or can we start with one?

Most clients start with Strategy or with a single Story workstream like positioning. The framework is modular, and starting smaller is often the right call when internal alignment is still being built.
